Core finance · Vendor-source research

Certinia Financial Management Cloud

Last checked 2 November 2026

Verdict · Editorial assessment

A finance option with a clear Salesforce-native boundary, particularly relevant when services delivery, customer records and accounting should share a platform. Evaluate the connection from delivery events to billing and the ledger rather than treating it as a generic standalone ERP. Existing Salesforce operations may make the architecture attractive, but programme scope, platform entitlements and governance still determine the actual implementation burden.

What the vendor describes

  • Certinia says Financial Management Cloud connects front and back office so billing, revenue, forecasting and cash flow are grounded in delivery data. Source ↗
  • Certinia describes Salesforce-native accounting with multi-company, multi-currency, multi-book and multi-chart capabilities, and claims NF 203 certification in France and HMRC MTD compatibility in the UK. Source ↗

Pricing and commercial scope

The reviewed solution pages offer demos and contact routes, not a numeric price schedule. Request a quote separating accounting, billing, revenue, procurement and planning scope from any Salesforce platform entitlements and implementation services. A linked solution catalogue does not establish that all modules or platform costs are included.

Limitations of this assessment

  • Salesforce-native architecture is a platform dependency, not proof that every existing Salesforce object or workflow will work unchanged.
  • NF 203 and MTD statements are vendor claims; the underlying certificate and HMRC listing were not independently checked. No country-wide compliance guarantee or measured implementation speed is asserted.

European requirements to verify

  • To verify: Validate the scope, version and current validity of Certinia’s French NF 203 and UK MTD claims. They do not establish mandatory e-invoicing, statutory accounting or VAT support for every European jurisdiction and legal entity.Source ↗
  • To verify: Contractual hosting locations, subprocessors, international transfers and retention need a DPA review; the checked product pages do not establish suitability for a particular European entity.

Integration boundaries

  • To verify: Certinia says it shares Salesforce CRM customer records. Test actual sales/delivery-to-invoice mappings, permissions, limits, credit notes and ledger reconciliation, plus external bank and payroll connections. Shared-platform positioning is not an executed integration check.Source ↗
