Upflow

Last checked 2 November 2026 · Not hands-on tested

Verdict · Editorial assessment

Editorial fit: an accounts receivable (AR)/collections layer for European B2B finance teams that retain their accounting or billing system but need customer-level collections workflows, payment portals and receivables visibility. Plan gates and payment fees matter; free insights are not free collections.

What the vendor describes

These claims are attributed to the vendor. We have not tested feature behavior, measured outcomes or verified an implementation.

  • Upflow Collections supports tailored workflows with customer- and invoice-level triggers, Smart Rules, account context and detection of promise-to-pay dates and disputes. Source ↗
  • Collection-agent skills can be off, ask before sending or autonomous. The vendor says uncertain drafts are referred for human review and sensitive situations such as disputes or payment plans are escalated. Source ↗
  • The Starter plan includes unlimited users, Gmail/Outlook two-way integration, email/SMS/call/letter reminders and collection analytics. Higher plans add application programming interface (API) access, multi-entity dashboards, rules and agents. Source ↗
  • The payment portal page explicitly describes Automated Clearing House (ACH), Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), Bankers’ Automated Clearing Services (BACS) and card acceptance and a branded portal synchronized to an enterprise resource planning (ERP). Source ↗
  • The integration page describes a native NetSuite SuiteApp with bidirectional multi-subsidiary synchronization, and lists Sage Intacct, Xero, Pennylane, Rillet, Chargebee, Stripe Billing and Zuora. Source ↗
  • The public Representational State Transfer (REST) API is described as providing AR data access with documentation and a sandbox. API access and particular connectors are plan-dependent in the pricing table. Source ↗

Pricing and commercial scope

Core collections requires a quote based on annual invoiced revenue, with unlimited seats and a yearly commitment according to the vendor FAQ. Free Discover insights are not free collections. The separate Payments add-on publishes a $390 per month platform fee, card processing of 3.5% plus $0.30 per transaction and ACH debit of 0.8%, capped at $5. These retrieved USD/ACH figures are not verified European SEPA or BACS tariffs. Payment eligibility, taxes, plan gates and signed order-form terms require confirmation.

Status: quote required core with free insights and published payment fees. No combined implementation cost or delivery duration has been verified.

Limitations of this assessment

  • Core collection subscription amounts are not numerical public prices on the reviewed page; invoiced-revenue bands are eligibility/volume thresholds, not fees.
  • The published $390/month fee belongs to Upflow Payments, not the Starter collections subscription.
  • European SEPA/BACS payment charges, acquiring/merchant eligibility and settlement terms were not established; do not transpose US ACH pricing.
  • NetSuite/Sage Intacct connectors, REST API, agents and multi-entity features are gated by plan; unlimited users does not mean all features on Starter.
  • No hands-on testing or independent accuracy, autonomy, cash-impact or security assessment. Checked date is research access; platform fetches may be cached.

European requirements to verify

  • Vendor evidence: Payment portal page explicitly names SEPA and BACS alongside ACH and cards.Source ↗
  • Vendor evidence: Official connector descriptions include Pennylane, and the pricing page displays a General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)-compliant badge; data-processing agreement (DPA), hosting region and certification scope were not assessed.Source ↗
  • To verify: Confirm EUR/GBP settlement, SEPA/BACS authorization flows and fees, supported merchant countries, payment partners, email/SMS terms and European data-protection arrangements.

Integration boundaries

  • Vendor evidence: NetSuite connector is described as a native SuiteApp with bidirectional multi-subsidiary sync. Pennylane is described as invoice/customer/payment import; Rillet as real-time sync/payment matching; Chargebee as recurring billing/customer sync and reconciliation.Source ↗
  • Vendor evidence: Pricing table places NetSuite/Sage Intacct among Grow native integrations; Grow adds REST API and multi-entity dashboards. Scale adds rules/collection agents and Accelerate adds cash application agent, Salesforce and unlimited entities in a dashboard.Source ↗
  • To verify: Confirm connector entitlement, write-back objects, credit-note handling, invoice identifiers, data latency, payment reconciliation and migration of saved mandates/payment methods.

A product listing is a starting point for discovery. Ask for a representative transaction walkthrough and an itemized quote, then compare the answers against the same entity, tax, bank and reporting requirements.
